Schools
Three future state schools are identified in the current Southern Thornlands PDA plan: two primary schools and one secondary school. Sheldon College already operates within the PDA, and the proposed Development Scheme also supports future intensification of the existing college.
The three proposed state-school locations are shown as indicative planning markers only. They do not define final school-site boundaries or current property acquisition areas.
School map
Where schools are identified in the plan
The three future state schools are shown as point markers only. Sheldon College is shown using its existing campus/property context.
What the markers mean. The proposed-school symbols show broad locations identified by the current planning map. They do not define final school boundaries, property acquisition areas, development approvals or construction footprints.

Planning certainty
What is known — and what is not yet defined
What the current plan tells us
- Two future state primary schools and one future state secondary school are identified.
- The planning map gives a broad location for each future school.
- Planning target areas are stated for the proposed school types.
Existing school
Sheldon College and future intensification
Sheldon College is an existing independent Prep–Year 12 school within the Southern Thornlands PDA. The proposed Development Scheme specifically supports future intensification of Sheldon College as consistent with the vision for the PDA.
That support is a planning position rather than a specific approved expansion project. The current plan does not define a new building footprint, student-number target or construction timetable.
